Solo Parents Encounter

Solo Parent Encounter (SPE) is a spirit-filled weekend done in an atmosphere of prayerful reflection. It is not a workshop on solo parenting, but a time for spiritual renewal and community.

Who is it for?

It is designed for solo parents such as:

• Widow or widower
• Married but divorced/separated from spouse
• Single with natural or adopted children
• Married with a spouse who is incapacitated or bedridden
• Married with a spouse working overseas

What to Expect

Through prayers, intercession, and the empowering of the Holy Spirit, the weekend consists of a series of inspirational teachings, personal testimonies, reflections, and dialogue.

At the end of the encounter weekend, participants will:

• Know the love of God and His workings in their lives
• Receive the Lord’s grace and be open to His healing and restoration
• Have a fresh awareness of their role in the home, workplace, community, and society
• Realize the need for others to grow in faith

Our Vision

A group or body of solo parents, renewed, strengthened and made whole; living and celebrating life to the fullest, with JESUS CHRIST as the CORNERSTONE, reaching out and witnessing to other solo parents, within the Open in Spirit to God (Bukas Loob sa Diyos, BLD) Charismatic Covenant Community and around the world.

Our Mission

We commit ourselves to minister and help solo parents in their new state of life, return to the mainstream of community life – at home, in their workplace, in community and in society.

I, the Lord, have called you to demonstrate my righteousness. I will guard and support you, for I have given you to my people as the personal confirmation of my covenant with them. You shall also be a light to guide nations unto me. You will open the eyes of the blind and release those who sit in prison darkness and despair.
